Bryan and I met over a decade ago in a barracks room on base, back when our biggest concerns were work hard, party harder. After leaving military life behind, we spent a few years figuring out what came next before settling in West Virginia for a little more breathing room.

Homesteading wasn’t the plan at first (I was firmly anti-chicken), but life has a way of reshaping you. Over time, we found ourselves drawn to a slower, more intentional lifestyle, one built around good food, dirty hands, and learning as we go.

These days, we both work full-time while raising our two boys, Owen + Theo. It’s a mix of cozy moments and total chaos, and it’s exactly where this space was born.
